Starting in January 2016 residents of MN, LA, NH, NY, and American Samoa may need more than a regular driver’s license to board domestic flights. The REAL ID Act, passed in 2005 requires state driver’s licenses to be equipped with machine-readable technology in the form of a chip. The above mentioned states have not complied.

Saving Money for Travel

I have come up with another way to save money for travel that I started implementing a couple of years ago. Twice a year I will go on a “financial diet” for a month. The two months I pick will be months when there is not much going on – so never in the summer!.

I left the hotel yesterday at 11:00 am, and finally got home at 11:30 pm last night! The airlines are irritating sometimes – the part of travel I do not like. The good news is I only gained 3 1/2 pounds eating all that food – amazing! My next major destination – in a few.
