Took the water taxi into the town of Vaitape this morning. It was definitely the most beautiful taxi ride I’ve ever taken! The town isn’t very big, so we had lunch (a really good pizza), and walked around and looked in the shops a bit. Everything here is very expensive, even the little trinket-type souvenirs were more than $20.00 USD. I spent 450 francs on two postcards. Seems like a lot, but it was only a couple US dollars.
