This past summer I posted on “touring your own home town.” Yesterday I got a chance to try out one of the things in my own home town that I wrote about – Kari’s Create & Paint Studio. I went with a friend and we had a great afternoon painting our masterpieces! I had never painted on canvas before and I think I picked something that was a little bit too detailed for my first try, but it turned out better than I thought it might. But the important thing is that it was a lot of fun! I will definitely go back again.

The other option, if you don’t want to tackle a canvas painting is painting a pottery object – and there are many to choose from. You can use one type of paint and take your creation home with you that day, or you can use the other type of paint that needs to by fired in the kiln and that will be ready in one week.
