I spent an interesting couple of hours at the art fair in downtown Stillwater this afternoon. It always amazes me how many creative ideas the vendors come up with. There was so much variety in what they were offering for sale.

At one of the booths I stopped at I found some very lovely glass designs by artist, Anita Scepurek. Among other places (see list on her website), she will be in the area again at the Marine on St. Croix Art Fair in September. www.designedbyanita.com

My favorite artist at today’s show, Sue Fries, of Roseville had a display of awesome photography printed in a way I had not ever seen before. Her photos are printed on aluminum via a dye sublimation printing process (see video on this process at http://closeupimages.com/the-printing-process/). Her photos are for sale, but you can also send them your own photos to be printed. Not sure if my photo does it justice, but they were just very cool! I can definitely see having one of my photos from my trip to Bora Bora printed in this way!

No trip to an art fair is complete without some goodies, so I picked up a sea salt carmel brownie on the way out. Good thing I parked up on the hill and had to walk back up . . .
