Today I went on a ten-hour tour of Oahu – 120 miles around. Here’s a quick rundown on some of the highlights:

Hanuma Bay – This is where the beach scene with Debra Kerr and Burt Lancaster in From Here to Eternity was filmed.

Sunset Beach – This is on the north shore where the waves are the biggest.

Waimea Waterfalls – This is a ¾ mile hike in to see the falls.

The Dole Pineapple Plantation – I watched a demonstration on the easiest way to cut up a pineapple and also had some pineapple ice cream.

Lunch was at a roadside shack where I had the best and freshest butter and garlic shrimp I’ve ever had.
