Day one of my road trip to Treasure Island, Florida – near St. Petersburg – was a good one! An easy drive from Fort Myers, and a beautiful day! I left the 90 degree humid weather in Fort Myers, and only a couple hours north, found low 80’s, sunshine, and no humidity. I was starting.
Earlier this month my dreams became a reality when I moved to Fort Myers, Florida! I am working remotely and this will allow me to spend 7 months a year in Florida and 5 in Minnesota and traveling. I’ve only been here a month, but have tried to pack in as much as I could!.
I take off tomorrow for Boston, Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, Nantucket, and Newport. This trip is going to be a little bit different for me as I will not be traveling with my laptop. Due to luggage restrictions on this trip, I cannot take my rolling carry on, so my laptop can’t go with me..
Was it worth the endless flights to get to Bali and back home? I’m going to say yes, I’m glad I went! It was beautiful, and for sure very interesting, and I saw and experienced a lot of things that I wouldn’t see in the US, and it was really nice when the immigration guy in.
Today a few of us hired a driver and went to the Bali Bird Sanctuary, had lunch, and did a little bit of shopping before returning to the hotel where I went out to enjoy the pool and beach one last day. Dinner tonight was at a restaurant called Balinique. The peach colored Cockatoo below.
