Ride the Rails Tour to Duluth

I took a group of people on a tour to Duluth, MN this week. Our first stop was a ride on an historic train on the scenic St. Louis River – very peaceful and quiet. The railroad crew are all volunteers and did a great job! www.ismrr.org We had lunch at Grandma’s Restaurant in Canal.

Was it worth the endless flights to get to Bali and back home? I’m going to say yes, I’m glad I went! It was beautiful, and for sure very interesting, and I saw and experienced a lot of things that I wouldn’t see in the US, and it was really nice when the immigration guy in.

Today a few of us hired a driver and went to the Bali Bird Sanctuary, had lunch, and did a little bit of shopping before returning to the hotel where I went out to enjoy the pool and beach one last day. Dinner tonight was at a restaurant called Balinique. The peach colored Cockatoo below.

Bali Day 6

Today we took a boat cruise to the island of Nusa Penida. The boat tied up to a large pontoon where we could go snorkeling, banana boating, use the water slide, or take another boat over to the island. I took the boat over to the island where there was a small amount of shopping.
