I took the high speed ferry (Key West Express) to Key West yesterday. The day started with a wonderful sunrise and dolphins following the boat out of Fort Myers. The trip down there took about three and a half hours and was very enjoyable and relaxing way to get there. Once docked, I set out on foot and walked all day. A stop for lunch – a shrimp and bacon club sandwich – shopping on Duval Street, some side trips off Duval, a Mango Tango Smoothie to keep me going, and a piece of Key Lime pie at Turtle Kraals concluded my afternoon. I enjoyed a beautiful sunset (and a bit of a snooze) on the way home.
