Spring!

Spring has come to Minnesota finally. It’s been a long, kind of weird winter – snow in November, green grass for Christmas, a warm-ish January, and a colder than the North Pole February. And then we had 70’s in March followed by snow on April 9th. Is it any wonder I long for an even 70-80 degrees all year?

I have been feeling a bit land-locked and getting the itch for the beach so I booked a trip last night to the Carolinas for September . . . just as the days start getting a bit cooler, and the sun a little lower in the sky. A lot people in Minnesota like fall, but to me it’s just a sign of the things to come . . .

In September I will be visiting Oak Island, NC, Myrtle Beach, and one of my favorite spots in the whole country – Shem Creek in Mount Pleasant, SC. Mount Pleasant is just over the bridge from Charleston, SC so I plan to explore some southern history while I am there, and anything else along the way that sounds fun!
