My Hometown

Last night I attended a tourism season kick-off party for my hometown of Stillwater, MN. It was held at the historic Water Street Inn on the banks of the St. Croix River. It was a lot of fun, nice people, great appetizers, and a short presentation. They also had “sample” tours available for us to try on the Stillwater Trolley, the Biercycle tour, and segway tours.

I tried out the segway tour because I’ve been meaning to sign up for one to see what it’s like. It wasn’t too hard and I managed to stay upright and moving forward for the whole time! The controls for moving forward, backward, and stopping are actually under your feet. I did not know that, so it took a little bit to get the hang of it, but it was fun.

If you live within a day trip of Stillwater, I encourage you to come out and check it out (or come back if you haven’t been here for awhile). It truly is a little gem on the St. Croix River!

We have so many unique shops and restaurants and fun things to do. There is also so much history in this town!
