Yesterday I swam in an outdoor (heated!) pool for the last time this season. Above me the sky was the bluest blue of a fall day, the falling leaves starting to turn to red, orange, and yellow. I like fall but hate to see summer end. It only gets worse from here on out in Minnesota.

Days like this bring me to thinking about the cold and snow of January and where I should be going to get out of here for awhile! I haven’t decided for sure where I will go, as I am planning a trip for next September to the New England Islands. I have not been to New England at all yet, and have been wanting to visit. It has been on my Bucket List for quite some time. Cape Cod, Martha’s Vineyard, and Nantucket will be on the itinerary.

Maybe a last-minute cruise (big discount on the price) or maybe to Florida is what I will do this winter. Anywhere warmer than here will be a real treat in January!
