I earned my lounge time on the deck this afternoon . . .

I put my bike in the back of my pickup and drove down to the new bike trail on the north end of Stillwater early this afternoon. My intent was to ride out to Manning Avenue and see how long it would take and if I could do it (I had to ride back too – about 6 miles round trip). Piece of cake. It was a lovely ride out there – riding along side Brown’s Creek for awhile. It will be really beautiful this fall when the leaves are turning.

Plenty of people were out enjoying the day and the trail – bikers, walkers, rollerbladers, and a rabbit. Just when you think you’ve seen everything . . . I happened to glance over at a biker riding past me from the opposite direction. This woman had a basket on the front of her bike with – you got it – a rabbit in it out for a Sunday ride.

After a bit of a rest at my final destination, I headed back towards town, and was there in no time it seemed. On the way back I past another woman with a basket on her bike. I took a peak, but no rabbit, just a bottle of water. . .
