One of my favorite things to do in the summer is go to Minneapolis to the food trucks for lunch. Today I had my sights on The Smack Shack truck for a lobster roll. Located in the Marquette Avenue area, a dozen or more food trucks park during lunch time and sell food. New legislation.

Today started off cloudy and foggy, but not terribly cold. I had crab cake eggs benedict at The Pie Place restaurant for breakfast. It was one of the best meals I’ve had for breakfast – totally worth the drive all the way up here. From there I did some agate hunting at Paradise Beach –.

My day started at the Milwaukee Public Market. While not a large market, it was filled with a lot of quality stuff – fresh fruits and vegetables, meats, and seafood, jarred salsas and jams, and chocolates and desserts (see photo of the parfait that I had).
