I went to Manatee Park in Fort Myers, Florida today. It was a beautiful day for canoeing, but unfortunately the only manatee I saw was this guy below..

Yesterday I swam in an outdoor (heated!) pool for the last time this season. Above me the sky was the bluest blue of a fall day, the falling leaves starting to turn to red, orange, and yellow. I like fall but hate to see summer end. It only gets worse from here on out in.

Key West, the southernmost point in the US, is famous for Jimmy Buffet, Earnest Hemingway, and Duval Street – a lively string of shops, bars, and restaurants. Sloppy Joe’s restaurant was Hemingway’s haunt. There are many ways to see Key West – on the Conch Train Tour, on a bike or scooter –but the best.
