A Fall Day in Minnesota

Yesterday I swam in an outdoor (heated!) pool for the last time this season. Above me the sky was the bluest blue of a fall day, the falling leaves starting to turn to red, orange, and yellow. I like fall but hate to see summer end. It only gets worse from here on out in.

Bali Day 6

Today we took a boat cruise to the island of Nusa Penida. The boat tied up to a large pontoon where we could go snorkeling, banana boating, use the water slide, or take another boat over to the island. I took the boat over to the island where there was a small amount of shopping.

“Views From a Cruise”

I just finished reading “Views From a Cruise” by Fabienne Wolf. It’s about the 99-day world  cruise taken solo by the author. It caught my eye, because I too, would like to go on a world cruise some day. I’ve taken many week-long cruises but I always wondered what it would be like to live.

Starting in January 2016 residents of MN, LA, NH, NY, and American Samoa may need more than a regular driver’s license to board domestic flights. The REAL ID Act, passed in 2005 requires state driver’s licenses to be equipped with machine-readable technology in the form of a chip. The above mentioned states have not complied.
