Como Park

This past weekend I went over to Como Park in St. Paul. It was a gorgeous fall day here in the Midwest. I spent some time walking along the lake and enjoying the sunshine. Along the way I ran into a guy with a pet monkey. He was born in the US and is 18.

A Fall Day in Minnesota

Yesterday I swam in an outdoor (heated!) pool for the last time this season. Above me the sky was the bluest blue of a fall day, the falling leaves starting to turn to red, orange, and yellow. I like fall but hate to see summer end. It only gets worse from here on out in.

Ride the Rails Tour to Duluth

I took a group of people on a tour to Duluth, MN this week. Our first stop was a ride on an historic train on the scenic St. Louis River – very peaceful and quiet. The railroad crew are all volunteers and did a great job! www.ismrr.org We had lunch at Grandma’s Restaurant in Canal.

Was it worth the endless flights to get to Bali and back home? I’m going to say yes, I’m glad I went! It was beautiful, and for sure very interesting, and I saw and experienced a lot of things that I wouldn’t see in the US, and it was really nice when the immigration guy in.
