It’s gorgeous here, but I am exhausted from the overnight flight and hanging aound waiting for the room to be ready. Today we spent in and out of the rental car. Everything is close by, but it takes forever to get to because of the traffic. First we headed to Balboa Island near Newport. An absolutely charming island (known for their Balboa frozen banana on a stick), but very busy and hard to find a parking spot..

I’ll tell you right now – I’m not a light packer. I really try, but inevitably my suitcase ends up stuffed. Of course it depends on what kind of trip you are going on – some require more than just a swim suit and shorts. I know some people would throw in a few swim.
