I stopped at Pawley’s Island on my way down to Charleston this morning. This is the setting of Dorthea Benton Frank’s book Pawley’s Island. She is my favorite author and all of her books are set in the South Carolina Lowcountry. I will be visiting other book setting locations this week as well. Pawley’s Island is strictly.

Today turned out to be a perfect, sunny beach day. I’ve been fighting a cold since before I left home so some time in the sun was a good idea today. I had dinner at the Fish House Restaurant on the inter-coastal side of the island tonight, and made it back to the pier for.

I picked up a few things at the grocery store last night so I could have breakfast on the deck this morning. There was just a peek of sunshine at sunrise, but the forecast is for partly cloudy skies today so I hope to post a great sunset photo tonight. The Carolinas have the most.

Aaaaahhhh . . . . sea air . . . I love it! I left for the airport in MN at 5:00 am this morning, stopped in Atlanta, then flew into Myrtle Beach this afternoon, and drove up to Oak Island, NC. All went very well and according to plan. I like it when that.

Bayside Grill

Last night I ventured over to the other side of the Twin Cities to have dinner at the Bayside Grill in Excelsior, MN. Located on Lake Minnetonka, it’s a very popular place to dine. The ambiance was lively and the view beautiful. My dinner companion and I started with the authentic chicken quesadillas – black.
